A Rustic Montana Wedding at it's Finest!
A Barn with a View!

The Teller's 1,200 acre wildlife paradise is located in the heart of Montana's Bitterroot Valley. A dirt road takes you right to the refuge which is complete with a large, old red barn and Slack House for lodging. The site encompasses all that is "rural" Montana with it's rustic structures and wildlife neighbors. A perfect destination spot!

It was an honor to work with this couple. Their big day wasn't about bling nor ritz! It was truly about friends and family coming together, enjoying food and spirits, square dancing and all around smiles.

The day was overcast but the clouds parted for the afternoon ceremony. Once the party had moved into the barn loft, Mother Nature provided a gorgeous spectacle of lightning, rumbling thunder and rainfall. The couple and their guests crowded the covered deck for an awe-inspiring glimpse of Mother Nature!

A Simply Romantic Union!
The weather is unpredictable in Montana in the middle of June. But this wedding wasn't about extravagance it was truly about the union between a young couple obviously headed for a long life of love together. When the skies continued to rain all day we moved the ceremony inside and the guests watched the vows from their reception seats.
But the tables were anything but an eye-sore. Complete with gorgeous wild fl0wers from Mo Gary's garden, stark white linens and flickering votives, they rounded out the romantic sentiment of the day! This wedding is a perfect example of keeping things simple and focusing on the fun to be had with family and friends.
The food was served with an extra pinch of delicious from newcomers, Silk Road Catering. The Father-of-the-Bride gleamed with pure love and enthusiasm for the couple and gave a heartfelt toast. Then the party begin: dancing and celebration shots!

A Gorgeous Sunny Day for a Gorgeous Couple!

Jennie and Jason found themselves in true love early on. This day was about celebrating that perfect fit.  Again, with the backdrop of Heritage Hall and the gorgeous grounds the couple made it official in front of friends and family. Jennie and her closest friends walked down the aisle to a string trio and shimmered under the early afternoon sunshine.
Inside the hall, the tables were a run with bold hues of pink and yellow and topped by petri dishes of perfectly sculpted Gerber Daisies. Dove sugar cookies were iced with pink and adorned with the couple's name and wedding date - a perfect favor for guests!
The food spread was a delicious hit amongst the guests - fresh sushi, baked brie, hot artichoke dip, cheese and crudites, all complimented by chilled vodka grapes - a schmorgasboard of tastes!

Mission Mountains, Sunflowers and a Long Love Story!

The HEART VIEW CENTER is located near ARLEE, MONTANA, next to 240 acres of open space, which includes the certified organic COMMON GROUND FARM and forested upland and river bottoms. This surrounding open space allows access to the JOCKO RIVER.

It is truly amazing to be immersed in the ah-inspiring Mission Mountains! You can't help but be overcome with a deep respect. And the turning of the leaves littered the mountains with yellows and golds, just barely turning with the season.

The colors and location were a perfect fit for Sonja's Harvest vision. Sonja grew the magnificently colored sunflowers herself - in her front yard. She crafted the dried arrangements from the sunflowers and wheat and encompassed them in rustic galvanized buckets. She meticulously made all of the runners - and the flower girl dresses! The bride had a vision and the determination to pull it off.
