A Worldly Affair!

The story of Rachel and Jonty's courtship is full of laugh and long distance love. But not much could keep the happy couple apart and they celebrated their eternal union with style and class and friends from far and wide!

The couple first contacted me when they were living abroad in Hong Kong. Planning a wedding is stressful enough without the thousands of miles that separate you from your venue. So I was thrilled to assist the couple.

Rachel opted to replace any cut flowers with paper crafted poms from gorgeous purple and silver papers. The poms acted as centerpieces, napkin rings and wine bottle charms. The LED candles were encased in gorgeous purple glass votives holders. Seating was assigned and the table's were designated by maps of metropolitan cities worldwide. The perfect touch for this worldly couple!

All the rage cupcakes were iced with delicious lavendar and vanilla frosting. The meal was deliciously prepared by first time caterers - Jaker's - and the bar was stocked with local beer to be sipped by their friends who traveled from all over, including Pakistan, the UK, Singapore, Hong Kong and of course Montanan's from Miles City and Great Falls!

Love was in the air and it couldn't be escaped! Both the Father of the Bride and the Groom showered Rachel and their guests with adoring stories and heartfelt thanks. When the dancing begin it was hard to pull anyone off the dance floor. It was definitely the place to be! Ryan, the gracious DJ from RMF DJ's, continued to play well into the night after the guests insisted on dancing some more, and more and more.

Best Friends & a Celebration of Love!

I was thrilled to work with Lori & Brad!
They were so easy-going and such straight-shooters that arranging all the wedding pieces was hardly a chore. I felt like I was helping good friends create a historical day in their life long love story!

Lori & Brad knew their colors were to be red and gold. They were sure Heritage Hall was the perfect spot. And Lori had no doubts that she would walk down the aisle to a favorite Queen song "You're My Best Friend".

Other than that they hoped for suggestions and referrals. Knowing the couple's excitement about their upcoming honeymoon to India and Lori's all-time favorite food dish being Gobi Aloo (a delicious Indian dish), it seemed fitting to incorporate some of the rich elements of that country's culture.

A Rustic Montana Wedding at it's Finest!
A Barn with a View!

The Teller's 1,200 acre wildlife paradise is located in the heart of Montana's Bitterroot Valley. A dirt road takes you right to the refuge which is complete with a large, old red barn and Slack House for lodging. The site encompasses all that is "rural" Montana with it's rustic structures and wildlife neighbors. A perfect destination spot!

It was an honor to work with this couple. Their big day wasn't about bling nor ritz! It was truly about friends and family coming together, enjoying food and spirits, square dancing and all around smiles.

The day was overcast but the clouds parted for the afternoon ceremony. Once the party had moved into the barn loft, Mother Nature provided a gorgeous spectacle of lightning, rumbling thunder and rainfall. The couple and their guests crowded the covered deck for an awe-inspiring glimpse of Mother Nature!

A Simply Romantic Union!
The weather is unpredictable in Montana in the middle of June. But this wedding wasn't about extravagance it was truly about the union between a young couple obviously headed for a long life of love together. When the skies continued to rain all day we moved the ceremony inside and the guests watched the vows from their reception seats.
But the tables were anything but an eye-sore. Complete with gorgeous wild fl0wers from Mo Gary's garden, stark white linens and flickering votives, they rounded out the romantic sentiment of the day! This wedding is a perfect example of keeping things simple and focusing on the fun to be had with family and friends.
The food was served with an extra pinch of delicious from newcomers, Silk Road Catering. The Father-of-the-Bride gleamed with pure love and enthusiasm for the couple and gave a heartfelt toast. Then the party begin: dancing and celebration shots!
